Holy Week, March 29—April 5
This year, during Holy Week, the Stations of the Cross will be set up throughout the church building. At each station, you’ll find invitations to reflect and actively engage with Jesus on his journey to the cross and toward the hope of resurrection. There will also be additional activities centered on seeking peace in our world. The Stations will be available all week, Monday through Saturday—come by once or return as often as you’d like.
Maundy Thursday, April 2, at 7 pm
Join us for communion and the drama entitled "The Living Last Supper." This drama has the twelve disciples and Jesus sitting at a table reacting to the statement from Jesus that, "One of you will betray me." Each disciple in turn speaks to their own thoughts reflecting on what Jeus has just said. Members of our church and community play the parts, and the service culminates in celebrating communion. Singing and quiet reflection round out the service.
Good Friday, April 3
Holy Saturday, April 4, from 10 am to 1 pm
Holy Saturday, between Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday, is often called "Silent Saturday" as God remained silent after Jesus' crucifixion until His resurrection. We invite you to join us for a Silent Retreat on this special day from 10 am to 1 pm. Various spaces will be available for reflection, including areas for writing, creativity/art, Stations of the Cross, and quiet time in the sanctuary or chapel for reading Scripture, prayer, and contemplation. This event will conclude with a light lunch and a conversation about peace.
