When is worship?

We have two worship services each Sunday morning.  One at 8 am and one at 10:15 am.  Both are in person and available online through Facebook Live.* (Note: you do not need to have a Facebook account to watch).  Pre-service/gathering music starts 10 minutes before services so that our online community knows they are connected and so those in person can use the music to pray, meditate, or center themselves as we prepare for worship.

Is the space accessible?

Yes, we have an accessibility ramp on the South side of our building from the main parking lot.  There are several designated handicap parking spaces.

In the sanctuary and chapel, there are designated locations (front, middle, and rear in the sanctuary) where a wheelchair or rolator can “park” with family, friends, or attendants adjacent.

For those who are uncomfortable in a traditional wooden pew, there are padded seats with arms available throughout the space.

For those who prefer a slightly different space, our parlor has a seating area with couches and armchairs and is directly adjacent to the sanctuary.

Accessible bathrooms are available by elevator on the second floor and basement levels.

Assistive listening devices are available at the welcome center for those who are hard of hearing.

Sermon manuscripts are available upon request.

If you would prefer a large print bulletin, please let us know.

Do you have a designated “family room”?

We do not, but children are very welcome in our worship spaces.  We do have activity bags available for kids to use in the sanctuary. In the parlor, the coffee table has baskets of toys that can also be utilized.  If you are a nursing mother and would like a more private space, please let us know and we’ll gladly show you some options.

How is communion handled?

In the United Methodist Church, we practice “open communion,” meaning anyone is welcome to participate.  We believe communion is a “means of grace” (a way God gives grace to us). You do not need to be a United Methodist or a member of our congregation. Children are welcome to participate at any age.

What is typical attire?

Our congregation generally wears casual or business casual. On special days you’re likely to see a few in a suit and tie.  Please know we think God is more concerned with our heart than our hair, shoes or clothes and we’re always grateful when folks come to visit.
