Enneagram Journey
The Enneagram Journey – a class that can change how you understand yourself and others! A 12-week online course that incorporates independently watching teaching videos by Suzanne Stabile (the author of The Road Back to You and other books and who has taught the Enneagram for decades), followed by a weekly Zoom discussion facilitated by Rev. Joanne Coleman Campbell, Rev. Denise McGuiness, and Tracy Faulkner.
Have you heard about the Enneagram and wondered what it was all about? Or do you know your number but want to explore more in-depth what it means and how you might understand your motivation, behavior, and experience? Do you want to know about others and what makes them do the things they do? If so, this is the class for you. The Enneagram is a system of personality typing that describes patterns in how people interpret the world and manage their emotions. It emerges from a long history of Spiritual practices that help us explore our key motivations and fears that largely guide our actions and decisions. Understanding your primary type can be a powerful tool for self-knowledge and a deeper appreciation of who God is calling you to be.
“The purpose of this curriculum is not just to teach an intellectual understanding of the Enneagram, although you will get a good grounding in its basic concepts. Knowing your Enneagram number & learning about the Enneagram are not enough to help you work with your personality & promote spiritual growth. Transformation and growth take place as a community of people experiences the Enneagram together. That is why we have called this curriculum The Enneagram Journey—it’s a shared experience designed to help you connect with other members of your group and learn with and from each other.” (from viii of The Enneagram Journey Curriculum)
Open to the church and the larger community, Zoom sessions will be held on Tuesdays, 6:00-7:30 pm, starting on January 21 and ending on April 8. Participants will order a curriculum book for $20 (which can be shared by couples) and pay a one-time fee of $10 fee to rent the videos streamed on Vimeo. Weekly time commitment (watching the video, class discussion, some reflection homework) will vary between 2-3 hours. While a few sessions can be missed, it is highly recommended to watch all the videos and attend as many of the sessions as possible. A computer with a camera is highly recommended, though a tablet or phone with a camera could work. Tech support is available! Class size is limited, so register now.
