Our children are important aspects of the community at Wenatchee First United Methodist Church.   We seek to include them in every community event from our Faith @ Work monthly mission program, Wednesday night dinners, and by participating in worship through music and drama.  As part of our ministry to our youth and children, we seek to help them grow into members of the church who will strive as disciples to build a community that seeks to know and love God and serve others. 

We minister to our children through several programs:

6th, 7th, 8th grade youth
Wednesdays, 6:30-7:00pm

9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grade Youth
Wednesdays, 6:30-8:00pm

Become God connectors! Our vision is to both challenge and encourage youth to participate in a relationship with God. We want to build a youth group of opportunities for young  people to experience God and His love for them through mission and service, Biblical teachings, trips, and discipleship groups where issues of accountability, character, and care are stressed. We strive to help them continue to dream, develop and deploy their passions. We teach them how to become a young community of believers devoted to prayer, and fellowship. We base all things in love and healthy relationships, having none in need among us.  Basically, First Church Sr. High Youth Group is preparing youth to make a difference and continue to build God’s House: a movement that goes beyond the church walls.

Music at First Church is an integral part of our worship services.  You will enjoy traditional piano music at our 8:00 service.  You will rock with the contemporary Celebration Team and Gospel Choir at our 9:00 service or enjoy the classic sounds of the organ, Sanctuary Choir, and Bell Choir during the Classic Service at 10:30 a.m.  Our Children’s Choir participates in both the Celebration and Classic services.  Learn more.
